Now in its 27th edition, The Field Guide to Rare Apparitions is the world’s foremost guidebook to the paranormal, occult, and strange.

As is noted in the foreword, “when faced with otherworldly agencies of both unknown provenance and unknown intent, no surety of safety may be given.” Yet if we cannot guarantee the reader’s protection from the fell creatures who lurk at the dark edges of this mortal plain, we may at least assure them this: that as they peruse these weathered pages by flickering firelight, they will be held rapt by the multitudes of horrors and wonders described herein.
